Pomegranate Collection patterns are designs which I have not stitched a sample yet for the cover image, but I just couldn't wait to share this design! So, these are less expensive and only available as downloads (not kits or patterns). If you stitch a Pomegranate Collection pattern and submit it for photography, you'll receive a $50 Avlea website credit (and you get your embroidery back, too!).
“Allover” designs such as this are found in abundance throughout folk embroidery, most often as cushion covers or table runners. Composed of small geometric motifs such as the diamonds and crosses in this design, this type of embroidery beautifully illustrates the phrase “greater than the sum of its parts” as new and varied patterns are seen with the repetition of a several smaller elements. The blue chevrons give a lovely energy and are reminiscent of rivers or streams.
Worked in antique blue and coral with garnet accenting, this design is very traditional yet feels at home in a modern interior.
